Send a bug to catch a bug
The presence of pathogens such as ecoli (see left) and listeria in meat makes it taste bad, and makes people poorly. So what can we do to keep meat safe and fresh? Make sure we keep surfaces and utensils clean? Observe sell by dates and keep different types of meat separate from each other? Or, just spray the meat with bacteriophage viruses so that any pathogens are vanquished? Ah yes, that must be it. Good idea Mr Food and Drug Administration. Hmm.

Fluffy ecoli available from Giant Microbes.
Isn't that the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I think you might just have committed blasphemy.

Fluffy microbes? Thats amazingly cute. I want them all. How much nicer would it be if ecoli was an actual cuddly toy that appeared when it made you sick? then you could hug it while you got better.

If you go and have a look at the cuddly microbes page, the flesh eating one is by far the cutest. Complete with knife and fork! Adorable.
